Essay Winner Kloey Rine

Earlier in the school year students in Mrs. Christensen and Mrs. Holste's Language Arts classes entered an essay contest sponsored by the American Legion titled "What the Flag Means to Me." We recently received notification that Kloey Rine's essay won first place at the local level.  The essay then progressed on to the state level competition, where she won second place , out of thousands of entries in the sate of Iowa.  Kloey has been invited to attend the state convention for the American Legion in Des Moines in July where she will read her essay. Congratulations Kloey!
