Welcome to Shenandoah Middle School
Shenandoah Middle School offers core academic subjects and a wide range of elective courses including band, choir, family consumer science, art, agriculture, robotics and fitness. This diverse curriculum ensures that students receive a well-rounded education.
Students can access numerous extracurricular activities such as cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track, baseball, softball, student council, FCCLA, and more. These activities help students develop their interests, build teamwork skills, and stay active.
The school prides itself on having a diverse staff that includes recent graduates as well as experienced educators. This mix of fresh perspectives and expertise creates a dynamic and effective teaching environment.
Shenandoah Middle School prioritizes students first and is strongly committed to school safety and reinforcing and rewarding positive behaviors. The staff includes a school counselor, a home school liaison, and a school resource officer who work with students and staff to maintain this priority. This focus on student well-being creates a safe and supportive learning environment.
U.S. News and World Reports named Shenandoah Middle School as one of the best Middle Schools in Iowa in 2024. This is an excellent achievement.
